Emerging markets like China, Russia, India or Brazil are the places with the highest increase of automotive production capacity. Beside the normal range of cars more and more real low cost cars are designed for these markets. A major issue for the all production processes are the right balance between quality and costs. For the painting process this implies a further step to reduce CPU (cost per unit) by reduced energy consumption, reduced (paint) material consumption, increased uptime, simplified maintenance and lean equipment concepts. Shortened processes (like 3wet) and improved equipment performance but also reduced complexity to facilitate operation and maintenance are key issues.
